[WASHINGTON, DC] — Americans for Clean Aviation Fuels (ACAF), a national coalition of industry leaders from the aviation, energy and agricultural sectors, announced today that it will join 12 other ‘gold-level’ organizations in sponsoring the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit in Altoona, Iowa, on January 11, 2024. Speakers from ACAF’s founding members, including Growth Energy and Delta Air Lines, are scheduled to deliver remarks during this major gathering of biofuels industry leaders.

With the eyes of the nation on Iowa right now, we look forward to ensuring that clean aviation fuels are part of the discussion surrounding America’s energy future,” said Nick Boeyink, ACAF States Director. “Growing the domestic market for clean aviation fuels will help power America’s economic engine by creating quality jobs in the agricultural, feedstock production, energy generation, construction and manufacturing sectors. CAF investments will also help make America more energy independent, reducing reliance on foreign energy sources.”

ACAF’s sponsorship of the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit is part of a national effort to promote the economic benefits of building a robust market for clean aviation fuels (CAFs). CAFs provide an environmentally sound alternative to using conventional jet fuel by significantly reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions. CAFs encompass the universe of sustainable aviation fuels: biofuels or synthetic fuels derived from renewable biomass feedstocks, waste resources and renewable energy resources, as well as captured carbon and hydrogen.
